THE PROJECT

Tasked with redesigning ‘Playground’ headquarters, a Toronto tech common – Drawbox worked with ‘The Form Firm’ to create, design, and build a functional and creative space that would not only look great, but that could also be used in multifaceted ways.

THE RESULT

Tackling aged infrastructure and mastering extreme levelling, Drawbox & ‘The Form Firm’ navigated complicated terrain and customized every inch of material installed. Creating a sleek and sturdy working environment that was as conducive towards creativity as it was towards functionality, we used Baltic Birch to facilitate this beautiful transformation.

THE PROJECT

In the fall of 2020 Drawbox Inc. worked with Diamond Marketing & TD Canada to come up with an innovative way to reveal one of the large donations for the #TDThanksYou  campaign. Tasked with finding a way both to conceal the prize as well as reveal it, Drawbox had to think and work creatively in order to come up with this rewarding asset.

THE RESULT

Designing, fabricating, and operating a large scale metal gift box, Drawbox utilized battery operated  power to create a branded gift box where, with the touch of a button, the sides lowered to reveal the surprise gifts inside.  Revealing 50 individually wrapped and branded #TDThanksYou Apple laptops, Drawbox ensured brand continuity, maximum efficiency, and cinematic appeal and the larger-than-life box was a centrepiece in the digital campaign.

THE PROJECT

This past winter Drawbox was tasked with the challenge of finding a way to transform Stackt into a festive winter Holiday Market for an ongoing activation with Baileys and Crown Royal. Working with the Stackt team as well as those from Vibrant Marketing we were able to come up with a creative concept that not only worked for the space and project at hand, but that also worked with local social distancing guidelines.

THE RESULT

Utilizing stained wood beams, hand welded steel, and copious amounts of Edison bulbs, Drawbox was able to manufacture 4 beautiful pergolas that were surrounded by multiple hand crafted benches, tables, and chairs. Finishing the look with hand strung garlands, propane fireplaces, lots of socially distanced seating areas, and functional QR codes, we were able to create a winter wonderland that was interactive and safe for our clients’ outdoor activation.

THE PROJECT

Needing to come up with a creative way for our HBC clients to celebrate the season while also respecting current social distancing guidelines we worked with the team at Vibrant Marketing to come up with a modern take on the traditional “Santa’s Village”.

THE RESULT

Beginning with the conceptualization of a “Virtual Santa” we designed, fabricated, and delivered a fully formed facade that could easily house the technical components that would bring this activation to life. Utilizing wood beams, fire resistant paint, and lots of creativity we were able to create a beautifully branded asset that was safe and enjoyable for all.

THE PROJECT

DRAWBOX Inc. worked with Absolut Vodka to create this 8.5ft fully custom 360° LED bottle silhouette. Featuring a custom aluminum exterior structure and a steel substructure, there were over 300 linear feet powered by 16 RGB controllers. From 3D design renders to actual final fabrication, DRAWBOX Inc. helped bring this one of a kind art piece to life.

THE RESULT

Created as a multipurpose interactive art piece, the LED Bottle Silhouette was featured in commercials, photo campaigns, documentaries, and as the stage centrepiece in a live performance competition. With such a sleek yet impactful design the piece was versatile enough to be incorporated into multiple projects, and, thanks to the programable colour changing LED lights, was unique enough to adapt to any new creative setting.

THE PROJECT

Working with Big HQ to create a one-of-a-kind LED art installation at the Adidas head office. Utilizing over 150ft of LED RGB lighting and almost 100sq ft of perforated metal, Drawbox worked with our friends at Big HQ to create this beautiful masterpiece in the shape of Canada that could highlight each and every Adidas and Reebok location on the map.

THE RESULT

Created as a head office highlight piece, the art installation was showcased at the inauguration celebration of their home-office remodelling. With it’s bright and eye catching colour changing outline that could easily be controlled by an on-site remote control, this beautiful and interactive art piece had a spectacular debut, and now currently lives at the home-office as a permanent fixture.

THE PROJECT

Tasked with creating a versatile sliding wall to showcase 90 high end tile samples for Brookfield Construction, we at DRAWBOX Inc. fabricated these stunning and strong 6ft tall steel sliding tile displays.

THE RESULT

While we typically handle the design of our projects ourselves, we absolutely love the opportunity to partner with amazing 3rd parties to help their visions come to life. It’s why when Crystal Collinson, the Principal Designer at ‘Crystal Collinson Interiors’ approached us with this unique fabrication request we were more than happy to jump on board.

Thanks to our collaborative efforts, we were able to achieve this sleek and strong design that not only helped elevate the Brookfield Construction selection experience, but also helped showcase Crystal’s creativity and vision.

THE PROJECT

Appointed by KRP with the task of creating a 30ft long float that could create positive brand awareness for HBO and CRAVE TV and show support for the LGBTQ community, Drawbox Inc. created this fun and vibrant Game of Thrones inspired float for the 2019 Toronto Pride Parade.

THE RESULT

In June 2019, DRAWBOX Inc. teamed up with a team of Special FX artists to create this one of a kind CRAVE TV and Game of Thrones parade float. With celebrity community members set to ride it, DRAWBOX Inc. was tasked with the challenge of creating an interactive and safe hype inducing float complete with a working 10ft tall mechanical dragon. Capitalizing on our mechanical background, DRAWBOX Inc. was able to create a fully working float that not only looked great and was structurally sound, but that also showcased interactive mechanical features such as fully functioning 18ft mechanical wings that opened and closed at the press of a button. The result was so impactful that the piece was actually selected to be the final highlight piece of the parade and CRAVE TV and HBO elected to save the entire unit so that it could be showcased again across various Canadian cities.

THE PROJECT

Assigned by Big HQ with the task of creating a thought provoking art installation that could represent the Adidas brand at Nuit Blanche in Toronto, Drawbox Inc. took to the challenge, and created this 7ft tall rotating shoe rack. Infused into the Adidas Queen Street ‘Creators Lab’ and showcased next to live artists creating one of a kind art pieces on a conveyor belt, this plexiglass enclosed moving steel skeleton was created to showcase some of Adidas most classic pieces in a unique and creative way.

THE RESULT

With thousands flooding to the streets to experience all that is Nuit Blanche, Adidas received extensive traffic and an incredibly wide audience for this one of a kind, one night only art exhibit. Building brand awareness while simultaneously celebrating creativity was what this night was all about, and thanks to the efforts of local artists, Adidas, and this DRAWBOX Inc. creation, we were very fortunately able to achieve this vision. With positive reactions surpassing their expectations the request was actually made to have this unique prototype turned into a regular exhibit that could be showcased at the Queen St. Adidas store as a permanent fixture.

THE PROJECT

Tasked with designing, fabricating, and installing a jaw dropping installation that could be showcased at the famous Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto, Ontario for an exclusive TIFF event, DRAWBOX Inc. hit the ground running working with Brilliant Consulting to create this 12 x 18 ft aluminum piping masterpiece.

THE RESULT

Created with a steel sub-frame and aluminum housing that showcased 2400 linear ft of 1.5″ round aluminum pipe, each piece was hand cut to precise measurements and hung strategically to create this one-of-a-kind artistic masterpiece. Highlighted as the main room centrepiece at this incredibly exclusive star-studded event, the piece received rave reviews from staff and party goers alike, elevating LA based Brilliant Consulting’s international brand awareness, and showcasing DRAWBOX Inc.’s skills. The piece was so well received that the client actually chose to extend their initial one-night-only showcase wishing our artistic chandelier to become a reoccurring centrepiece at future events for them.
